Music has always been a very important part of my life. My earliest memories are dressing up in my grandmother’s dresses
high heel shoes and jewelry. Then I would go to the kitchen and grab the potato masher as my microphone to sing and dance my hearts content. My earliest childhood videos show many instances of me with my pretend microphone singing and dancing. As I grew through grade school to high school, I was avidly involved in musical projects. During one of my junior high years my music teacher would take me with her to the other schools that she taught in the district. She would have me sing a song to the class that they had been learning to sing, She would tell them to listen and watch me sing and then try to sing it like me. Olivia Newton John was one of my most favorite singers at the time. A favorite song of mine was “Have You Never Been Mellow”. I remember singing that in front of the class. I closed my eyes, transported myself into the song and sang it as if no one was there. When I finished the song, I opened my eyes and to my surprise, there was an entire class clapping in sheer joy. I realized in that instant that music was my passion and my art and that I loved being on stage!
I learned to play the guitar and piano in my childhood years. The guitar became my main instrument in my teens as I became very prolific with writing and composing songs. My grandmother would often ask me to go get my guitar and sing for her. She enjoyed it so much and gave me great courage to pursue my music.
I have spent a great deal of time writing and playing original music and time in studios recording material. The songs that you hear on my website are all original songs and the lyrics have been written by me. I have been quite blessed to work with some amazing, top shelf producers who have honed the production of the music into a beautifully orchestrated ensemble. I am quite grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such masters.

Currently, I am working with guitar maestro Ivan Wade performing the early jazz standards and other similar genres of music. I use to play and sing a lot of the old standards like My Funny Valentine, Fly Me to The Moon, etc as a child and I am thrilled to be singing these songs again.
